Over the past 35 years, Rita has served local Circuit Courts, in her dual role as the administrator of the Family Court Project, and Domestic Relations Alternative Dispute Conflict Resolution Mediator; worked with families and youth at risk, counseled and coached individuals and couples; a victims' advocate and Family Preservation Specialist at a domestic violence center for women and children.
On a more personal note, besides her deep love for the Lord Jesus, Rita treasures time spent with family - her husband, grown children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, and her church family. She enjoys traveling with family, baking their favorite desserts, keeping ice cream and popsicles in the freezer, oohing-and-ahhing when the grandkids just caught the biggest fish ever, and mending their broken blankies and stuffies. Rita is also passionate about her bird sanctuary, a lovely cup of coffee or hot tea with honey, music, reading, and gardening.
